About Raviston

Raviston is a threshold intelligence and strategic advisory firm focused on frontier, reopening, and structurally transitioning markets — with particular depth across the Middle East and Central Asia.

The firm was founded on a specific conviction: that the most consequential economic and commercial transitions of the coming decade will occur in markets that are currently underprepared, misunderstood, or underserved by international capital — and that the organisations best positioned to benefit will be those that began their preparation early.

Raviston provides strategic intelligence and advisory support across three areas of practice: market readiness and strategic positioning, capital flows and investment readiness, and frontier and reopening optionality.

The firm works with a small number of organisations at any one time, maintaining depth of engagement rather than breadth of coverage.

Founding

Raviston was founded by Shirzad Khalilifar, an investment and strategy professional with experience across banking, investment analysis, financial modelling, frontier-market dynamics and commercial advisory work. The firm reflects a long-standing focus on how capital, regulation, institutional readiness and market timing interact in complex economies.
